The process is sustainable from start to end. The first step is to collect the wild palm leaves and allow them to dry naturally so that they obtain their characteristic beige color. In order to manipulate them, they need to be soft, otherwise, they would break. So the next step is to boil them. Finally, they are braided and painted with natural pigments.
