Wendolyn Martínez

46-year-old Wendy proudly describes her profession as a ‘a legacy from her parents’. Her mother, also an artisan, taught her absolutely everything she knew about craftmanship. She is the third generation of her family, who are dedicated to promoting the region of Oaxaca with their products, mainly creating plastic products such as bags, belts, and wallets.

She is inspired not only by her desire to move forward in life, but by her goal of helping others. Wendy has a very important social mission in her community, which is to be able to gain new projects that can give work to her colleagues and, thus, improve their quality of life.

She believes that if the world could learn a little more about the handicrafts of the Oaxaca region, the communities would benefit and collaborate even more together.

Some of the products from Azul Mejicano are made by Wendolyn’s hands, and she will be directly supported by your purchase and donations.
